Create robust, living soil for thriving plants that support healthy habitats for humans and more. Landscape professionals share insider wisdom and practices specific to our region. Join us for this multi-week series!

Soil and healthy trees
Saturday, March 14

Soil is the most important element for growing healthy, vigorous trees, but also the least understood. Learn how your soil composition affects how you water and fertilize. Learn to work with natural processes to improve your soil and plant health. And don’t worry, you won’t need to dig up your whole garden!
Learn drip the right way in this hands-on workshop taught by water efficiency experts. Learn about equipment and installation for both retrofits and new landscapes. Discover how to keep your garden growing using less water by converting a sprinkler system to a drip irrigation system. In this class you will learn the basics of a DIY drip conversion and the three different types of drip systems. For the hands on portion of the class we will practice converting an existing sprinkler system into the three different types of drip systems. Learn about the key components and principles needed to build your drip system.
April Workshops
New to pool maintenance or struggling to keep it clear and free of algae? This class is designed to give you a better understanding of how to prevent and fix pool water chemistry issues that would otherwise result in draining and refilling your pool. We will also cover pool leak detection and more. Join us for this educational and water saving class!
This class is dedicated to one of our summer favorites, the tomato! Learn about planting, growing, and caring for this delicious staple as well as how to control problems before they happen. Let us help you grow the ultimate tomato – firm and juicy, sweet, and tangy.
Learn to identify and manage common garden pests and diseases using proven science-based methods from the University of California. Discover how proper watering, fertilizing, and encouraging beneficial insects can help your plants not only recover from damage but thrive long-term. You'll gain the knowledge to distinguish between helpful and harmful bugs, transforming your approach from reactive pest control to proactive garden health management. Do you desire a water-wise garden that positively impacts both humans and pollinators? Learn how to select low-water plants, to place in low water zones, and to irrigate with low water. We'll bring cuttings and focus on 16 desirable plants that together provide year-round color.
